The Medicare enrollment process is surprisingly simple, but all of the information and various options for enrollment can make it seem intimidating to many people. Fortunately, a little preparation is all that you need to make the most of your enrollment.

Part B – This is medical insurance and “covers certain doctors’ services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services”
Medicare Advantage plans are also known as Medicare Part C. They provide same benefits as original Medicare Parts A and B and may also include additional plan benefits.
Part D – This is prescription drug coverage offered through private insurance companies for Medicare beneficiaries. Medicare prescription drug coverage can be added to your to Original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private-fee-for-service plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (also known as Medigap). Medigap plans are designed to help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs not paid by Original Medicare.
